Top banking cities of the world |

In general, there are 3
major financial centres of the world - New York, London and Tokyo (the
latter fights hardly with Hong Kong and Singapore to remain it's position).
But which cities has most banks in the world?
There are only approximate numbers of some cities,
but they shows that convincing leader in this field is London with more
than 550 banks, followed by Frankfurt (~280), Paris and New York. It's
almost impossible to find information about Tokyo though. From information what is available, turns out that cities with most banks in the
world are these (view table #1).
In the second table the data for Baltic
states are shown. Latvian capital and Baltic's largest city Riga is the
leader banking centre in the region - number of banks in Riga are almost as
the same as in Tallinn and Vilnius combined. (sources:
