Riga map of investments/construction projects May'2009

  This map of largest (over 70 mio EUR) Riga investment projects shows the current situation in Riga's construction business. The economic crisis effect is clearly visible - all the blue bars indicates projects which has been stopped and is on hold now, only yellow bars are actively developing (under construction). Of course, map is not absolutely reliable because of lack of information or outdated information about projects costs. 

  Note: bars represents the approximate amount of investments of each project; some projects aren't included in this map due to lack of information about their costs; there are also projects which costs may be outdated; Southern bridge are displayed with it's 1st and 2nd stage costs. READ MORE

Riga - the metropolis of beauty

This presentation will lead you into the enormous architectural fairy-tale land - the historical centre of Riga. Riga is the world's capital of Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) and here you will see some of Riga's most impressive and famous examples of this magnificent architecture style. Riga (like other important cities) has also Boulevard district, which surrounds rather unique feature - city's canal with the park area around it. This is the place where Riga Opera (which is becoming very prestige on the international level), National Theatre, Museum of National Art and other culture buildings are located.
